Playfulness
I don't know about you, but sometimes I take life too seriously and forget to breathe, go with the flow, and chill out. This video shot by Humps Optics makes me smile and realize how incorporating playfulness into my daily life is essential.

So what does it mean to be playful? And how can adding playfulness into your life bring joy?
Playfulness is like being a big kid and channeling that inner child and pure love that comes with it. I know that people speak about the wounded inner child, including myself, but our inner child, when healed, is joyful and has no cares or worries in the world.
Once we can forgive, accept and let go of the things we can't control by being in the present moment, we can be grateful for all life's lessons. The critical thing to remember is that our past does not define us; at this moment, every one of us is whole, beautiful, and unique.
Adding playfulness into our daily lives can help us remember our worth as the badass individuals we genuinely are and affect our overall well-being for the better. My words of advice to you and what I tell my clients is to make a list of the things that bring joy. It can be as simple as the smell of coffee in the morning, taking a bath, reading a book, listening to music, dancing, or cuddling your pets.
Keep the list in front of you, and on those days that worry or fear may arise, go back to the list and see what you can do at that moment to change your perspective. Remember, everyone has stuff that will come up and trigger our moods, and you are not alone.
Life is not as serious as our minds make it out to be, so focus on the things that make you happy! Cheers to being more playful!
What's on your list of joys?
Sending love,
Lauren
