Relationship 101
It took me many years of having toxic relationships with myself and others to finally learn and understand what it feels like to be surrounded by loving, healing, and healthy ones. The kind of relationships that we all deserve. The crazy thing is I wouldn't have had it any other way because of all the lessons it taught me.
The reason I've decided to embark on the topic of relationships is for three main reasons:
I have dealt with many forms of relationship trauma—everything from verbal and physical abuse, narcissistic behavior, sexual, suicidal, and addiction. However, through years of trial and error, reliving the same old story, and hitting multiply rock bottoms, I finally had an AHA moment that successfully established healthier behavioral patterns that I still use today.
Learning, growing, and succeeding from my toxic relationships with myself and others has enabled me to relate to someone else who may be dealing with similar situations. It allows me to come from an authentic place with empathy and compassion.
I'm aware that relationships with ourselves and others can influence, play a massive role and significantly impact our overall wellbeing. They can directly correlate to how we feel, behave, and take action. I know how it feels to be stuck in the "comfortable chaos," making it difficult to see that change is possible. Well, I can tell you firsthand that change is possible!
Much love,
Lauren
