Finding The Right Balance

I have many external creative passions, so I know it's crucial to bring balance to my internal so I don't get burnt out. Finding the right balance with everything consists of constantly slowing down, taking a breath, appreciating and acknowledging all of the evidence of what I've already brought to fruition, and not getting caught up on what I haven't yet.

I have found three solid ways to keep my energy flowing and aligned with my goals: integrating better eating habits, movement, and meditation. So I decided to step it up this month and start a 30-day detox. My added self-care includes no alcohol, dairy, or caffeine, little meat, lots of greens, kombucha, meditation, and weekly appointments with my acupuncturist and massage therapist. Next week, I will finally return to the gym for much-needed movement after having a broken toe for three months.

While taking even the most minor daily action and showing up, the key is not to forget to have fun and trust the process. Then, when I feel overwhelmed, which sometimes I do, I go back to focusing on the present moment. Allowing space helps my internal body recognize where I am while in a feeling state of gratitude instead of a false story that I'm not doing enough.

How do you find balance?

Much love,

Lauren
